This my first published typefaces family. I was working at MetaDesign with Erik Spiekermann at the time and I played a lot with type. We had Icarus and Fontographer there, and I made a lot of experiments. The starting point of this typeface was the Meta that became a little nervous and got some serifs. As I needed more weight, I made the Not That Fat out of the Regular. Then I begun to transform the letters in images and the Little Creatures were born. Of course, this is an informal type, but it is very legible also in small sizes and – with the Little Creatures – give you the chance to tell long stories by writing very short one!
